Auger Bits
An auger bit is the tool of choice if you want to drill very deep holes, perhaps with larger diameters. Compared to the twist drill, the auger bit has several advantages: For relatively shallow holes, a normal twist drill can also get the drill chips out of the hole. The deeper the hole, however, the more difficult this becomes. The auger bit has particularly deep spiral grooves in which the chips are transported upwards. This avoids having to pull the drill out of the hole because it is clogged. Auger bits also have a centring spiral tip. This makes the work easier because the drill drives itself into the material in a self-cutting manner.

Auger bits from Famag
Our auger bits come from the manufacturer Famag and therefore meet the highest quality standards. The normal auger bits correspond to the 'Lewis' design. In addition, we also have carbide auger bits and auger bits with bottom blades in our range, which are particularly suitable for drilling in hardwoods. All models (except the rod auger bits with eye for handles) are also available in sets with different lengths and different diameters.
